Halwayne Coleman aka Halonai is a Jamaican recording artiste who hails from Spanish Town, St Catherine.

Halonai has always had a natural knack for music and so from early on he decided this is what he wanted to pursue. He was first introduced to music by his father who was a singer and would perform locally around the Wynter Penn and Frazer Content area in Spanish Town.

Halonai’s vision and dreams to become an artiste became a reality when he made his first demo after leaving high school. Along the journey, years later, Halonai was noticed by producer Michael Adams who recorded Jah Cure’s song Prison Wall. Halonai’s father gifted him his first guitar and under the tutelage of Michael Adams, Halonai’s talent grew markedly.

In addition to being an artiste, Halonai engineered at King Jammy’s  studio and worked alongside John John, Jammy’s son who’s worked with the Marley’s and many more prominent artistes.

Now, the recording artiste is signed to UK record label, Geme Records¸ who saw the talent in Halonai and decided to help him along his journey.

Halonai’s first release It’s A Happy Day, has been widely received and lauded by local and international industry insiders. He quickly followed up with One Away on his Yaad of Fame Music imprint, from his forthcoming EP.

His latest promotional effort,   Keep It Irie is doing exceptionally well and Halonai looks forward to cementing his name in the music business.

‘I sing about real life experiences of myself and others and I wanted to sing music that resonates to the depths of people’s soul, give them goose bumps, while it motivates’ Halonai
